A rectangular mall located between two parallel streets is 50ft wide and 200yd long. Find the area.
I got 10000. But 10000 what? Should it be ft squared or yd squared? I'm confused on this- which is it supposed to be?

10,000 is wrong. You can't multiply feet times yards. Since there are 3 feet in a yard, you'll need to change 200 yards to 600 feet. Then multiply 50 feet times 600 feet to find the area.

Oh, I didn't know you couldn't do that, but it makes sense to me now. So, I think the answer would then be 30000ft squared.

Yes! The area is 30,000 square feet.
