Question

a 5.0 kg mass hangs at the end of a cord. Find the tension in the cord if the acceleration of the mass is 1.5 m/s squared up. I'm trying to find the formula (s) to plug in the numbers to work the problem. if you can help me with the formulas and plugging in the numbers, I should be able to work the rest of the problems I have. thanks in advance
