Dear Mr Sipana,
I am writing to appeal the fail grade I received in my final year course. Due to a 2% drop in my overall score, I ended up with a 48% and failed to meet the minimum passing grade of 50%.
Throughout the semester, I encountered a clash between two classes, BI 335 and EN 481. Please check the attachment of the Time Table below.
This clash resulted in me having to juggle between two important courses, leading to zero attendance and participation marks in BI 335. Although I made an effort to attend the BI 335 class whenever possible, there were instances where I was unable to do so due to the scheduling conflict. I should scored at least 2—3% for attendance and Participation because have clash between two classes.
Furthermore, I did not take biology in my second and third years, which put me at a disadvantage in the course. Despite this challenge, I diligently completed assignments, tests, and practicals to the best of my ability. Unfortunately, I fell short of the 2% required to pass the course due to the conflicting schedules attending both courses at the same time.
I sincerely request your consideration in granting me the additional 2% on attendance and participation in BI 335 or give me an opportunity to do supplementary tests, assignments or exams to make up for the 2% because IT students will leave soon.
It is clearly understand that student can not doing test, assignment, practical and tutorial and Exam. If he or she cannot attend class for whole semester. But I attend class getting information and doing all assessment it required but I really feel down when I get zero for P+A.
The truth is that, class check list was not checked regularly as sometimes I didn't signed during Practical, tutorial and lectures times leads me into confusion because I have clash between two classes. But I should scored at least some percentage on P+A.
Mr Sipana, please I ask your good wisdom, knowledge and understanding requesting with this appeal letter to consider my case and give me a 2% and pass me.
This adjustment would allow me to achieve a 50% pass mark and proceed to Industrial Training as planned.
