why dont prey baby animals (like an impala, deer..) when they see predators run away, why do they just stand there.

cuz a baaby impala is just standing there with a leopard sitting right there

the leopard caught the impala it just didnt eat it yet because it wasnt hungry but to avoid the baby impala from running away it keeps dragging the baby back towards him
