In the darkness of my mind,
I feel a heavy weight
A sorrow that consumes me,
A sadness that won't dissipate

My heart aches with longing,
For loved ones now long gone
Tears fall like raindrops,
In the quiet of the dawn

I mourn the loss of laughter,
The sound of your voice so sweet
I long to hold you close again,
To feel your heartbeat

But you're gone,
Forever out of reach
And all that's left is sorrow,
A void within my speech

I yearn for just one moment,
To see your smile once more
To tell you how much I love you,
And how my heart is sore

But it's too late,
The time has passed
And all I have are memories,
Of a love that couldn't last

So I'll hold onto those moments,
And cherish them so dear
For in my heart, you'll always be,
Forever near

But the sadness lingers on,
A constant ache within
For the loss of you, my dear,
Is a wound that won't heal within.

So I'll carry on,
With my heart torn apart
But I'll never forget you,
Forever in my heart.
