“White fang” by Jack London is a story about a wolfdog who has been found as a puppy after leaving his home and has been taken and abused for most of his life. White fang was resting in a cave when one day he decided to go out into the snowy forest. One day during his exploration he had found a fire which resulted in being found and taken by Indians who were resting near the fire. White fang and his mother was then taken to their village where a person named grey beaver would be white fang’s owner for most of his life. I think the main points of this story is about survival, loyalty, kindness,

The author would develop the plot by first describing how white fang’s father how him and the other wolfs were being hunted by white fang’s future mom. White fang would be told by his mother to stay in the cave in which he lives in, but one day he decided to disobey his mom and leave the cave. One day while exploring white fang was taken in, he would be forced to become a sled dog, and if white fang disobeyed, he would get punished and abused, when white fang did something extremely good, he would be rewarded with food. One day white fang’s mother was separated from him, and white fang was forced to move on without her. One day white fang met a person he hadn’t seen before, the person’s name was “beauty smith”, white fang had hated him on sight but was bought from Beauty smith, only to be abused and forced to fight. White fang would day be adopted again after losing his first fight, but his new owners were kind to him and from there white fang was treated nicely for the rest of his life.

Throughout the story white fang was a very smart wolfdog and often learn what or what not to do very quickly, white fang was smartest and quickest apart from the other dogs. Grey Beaver would abuse white fang into forcing him to be a sled dog, but sometimes white fang would do something that would have gray beaver give him a piece of meat. Grey beaver took care of white fang and the other dogs for half the story until someone else came to take white fang for himself. This person was beauty smith, who in the book was described as a monstrosity, in the book he buys white fang and abuses him and only uses him for fights. White fang was fighting a tough opponent until he lost his first fight ever. After his terrible loss he was bought yet again by another person who would show white fang the subject of “kindness” This person was named Weedon Scott, who adopted White fang and treated him better than the other people white fang has been with. Weedon Scott showed white fang kindness and white fang soon came to love him and spent the rest of his life with him.

The setting in the first part of the book is a white snowy dark spruce forest where white fang was born in. The setting had allowed white fang to be camouflaged to hunt better. In about the second half of the book white fang is taken to an Indian village, because of this white fang could not run away due to him being watched. Later, white fang is taken to an American village, white fang was locked up so he couldn’t run and escape, he was also forced to fight. In the last half of the book, white fang is taken to a city, this causes white fang to stand out and people around him to be scared of him.

White fang has many key points, some are of which is that wildlife should not be messed with and let it be.
