What role, if any, do you think people must play in preserving those regions threatened by human encroachment

If humans don't work to preserve natural areas, we won't have any left.

The Land Conservancy, as well as other private organizations, buys natural areas to prevent further human encroachment. People can also lobby their legislators to preserve the government lands from loggers, mining, and buildings.
