In a series of three plays, a college football team had the following results:loses 5 yards, gains 8 yards, and loses 7 yards. Find the net gain (or loss) after this series. The answer is suppose to be 4. ( I keep getting -4)

12 yards lost and 8 yards gained sure looks like 4 yards lost.
