When I listen to a text, I know to pay close attention to the tone and inflection of the speaker's voice in order to understand the emotions and emphasis they are trying to convey. Additionally, I make sure to take notes and jot down key points to help me retain the information. Lastly, I always try to summarize what I have heard and reflect on how it connects to my prior knowledge or experiences.
