A farmer is planting squashplants that need 2 3/8 feet to spread out. he has an area along a fence that is 20 feet long. Round the amount of space the squash plants need to the nearest 1/2 foot. How many squash plants can the farmer grow along the fence?

20 divided by 2 1/2 = 20 divided by 5/2

20 * 2/5 = 40/5 = 8
