A group of 185 incoming first-year students at a university were surveyed randomly in order to determine the factor that influenced their decision to choose to attend the university.

Sample: The 185 incoming first-year students who were surveyed

Conclusion: Based on the survey results, the most influential factor for the incoming first-year students in choosing to attend the university was affordability, with 65 students selecting this as their reason. This was followed by available degree programs (55 students), location (40 students), and the soccer team (25 students).
