Vertical cities have their pros and cons, but in my opinion, vertical cities are a great way to create housing while conserving natural resources and saving animals. One pro is that the towers are built upward instead of outwards, so it does not destroy as much habitat. Another pro is that the people living in vertical cities would not have to drive as often, reducing the environmental footprint even further. Some people say that vertical cities would have a negative effect on humans because they would never leave the tower and they would become physically and emotionally unhealthy. However, this can be solved with indoor gyms and community get-togethers. There also may be an increased risk of a fire or earthquake destroying the tower, but buildings can be built to withstand earthquakes and fire extinguishers can be placed in most of the rooms. In conclusion I think that vertical cities have more pros than cons and I think that we can solve any problem a vertical city might have.
