Six dozen = 72 eggs

From counting by 2s, you know that it is an odd number, since one is left over. The last sentence indicates that you need an odd number of 5s to have an odd number with 4 left over (5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65) to give 9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59 or 69 eggs.

Which of these fit the other requirements?

I hope this helps.
