explain the order of the planets due to the external environments by becoming solids, liquids, or gases. In the case of planet ordering, external environmental factors of gravity and temperature combine to dictate position from the Sun.why?

I don't agree with the statement on planet ordering.
Mercury is solid, and hot. It is closest to the Sun.
Pluto is solid, and cold, it is farthermost from the Sun.
The Gas Giants are on the outer plant list, further from the Sun, but inside of Pluto's orbit.

So if one ignores Pluto ....
