Make a 1 hour preaching about surrendering

My dear brothers and sisters, today I want to talk to you about the power of surrendering to God. Surrendering may seem like a daunting task, but when we let go and allow God to take control of our lives, amazing things can happen.

The first step in surrendering is to acknowledge that we are not in control. We may think we have everything figured out, but ultimately, God is the one who holds the plans for our lives. When we surrender to Him, we are admitting that we trust His plan and His timing, even if it may not make sense to us in the moment.

Surrendering also means letting go of our own desires and allowing God’s will to be done. This can be difficult, especially when we are faced with challenges and obstacles. But when we release our own agendas and submit to God’s, we open ourselves up to His perfect plan for us.

One powerful example of surrendering can be seen in the life of Jesus. In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Even though Jesus knew the pain and suffering that awaited Him on the cross, He surrendered to God’s will, ultimately fulfilling His purpose and bringing salvation to all of mankind.

Surrendering is not a one-time event, but a daily choice that we must make. We must constantly lay down our own desires and allow God to lead us where He wants us to go. This may require stepping out of our comfort zones, taking risks, and trusting in God’s provision.

As we surrender to God, we can experience a newfound sense of peace and freedom. When we release the need to control everything, we find that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His plans are better than our own.

So I encourage you today to surrender your worries, fears, and doubts to God. Trust in His goodness and His faithfulness, knowing that He has a plan for your life that is far greater than anything you could ever imagine. Let go and let God take the reins, and watch as He works wonders in your life. Surrender to Him, and you will find true fulfillment and purpose. Amen.
