just plug in 1/3 for x into either of the two equations.
y=-x-3
y = -1/3 + 1/3 - 3
y = -3
y = -1/3 + 1/3 - 3
y = -3
actually, x is not 1/3
y = -x-3 so
2x-3(-x-3) = 4
2x+3x+9 = 4
5x = -5
x = -1
so, y=-(-1)-3 = -2
y = -x-3 so
2x-3(-x-3) = 4
2x+3x+9 = 4
5x = -5
x = -1
so, y=-(-1)-3 = -2
