Does your text suggest ways of writing a negative message to your boss?
In my experience, negative messages should be delivered in person, face-to-face -- not in writing.

It would depend on the topic, but it is always better to give a positive message first. For example, "I enjoy working for you, but...."
It is better to state the problem in terms of yourself rather than the boss. Instead of "you don't explain things well enough" use something like "I am having trouble understanding...." Stating in terms of yourself makes it less likely that the boss will become defensive or hostile.
I hope this helps a little more.
