The French and Indian War was a big fight between the British and the French over who would control land in America. The British won, but had to spend a lot of money on the war. To pay for it, they started taxing the American colonies more. This made the colonists angry because they didn't have a say in the decisions being made about their money. This led to more tension between the colonists and the British government, which eventually led to the American Revolution.
