for a six-sided standard die is the event "less than 3" and the event "greater than 3" complimentary, mutually exclusive, or both.

I think they are both but not sure

It can't be both, so they are mutually exclusive.

There can be times when the result is neither >3 nor <3. So they cannot be complimentary (one of the other).
