Write the verbal sentence as an equation, or an inequality:
Fifty multiplied by the quantity twenty divided by a number n is greater than or equal to two hundred fifty.
Am I on the right track: 50 * 20 / n > 250

50 * 20 / n >= 250

Your only mistake was the greater than symbol. it says greater than or equal too, which means put the greater than sign, but put a line over it to represent the equal sign as well. That sign means greater than or equal to. good job :]

I did put the greater than equal to sign. That little line didn't come out right under the greater than sign when I posted but instead way to the left. But shouldn't there be parentheses somewhere? My teacher said that quantity indicates parentheses...

well, I didn't think there was any parentheses, but if your teacher says there should be, then the only place that would make sense for them to go would be around the the 20 / n

my teacher didn't give me the answer- the quantity/parentheses thing was in my notes.
so, no parentheses?
