First Nations Assignment

Fact Chart

Plains:
Food = Pemmican/Bison/Buffalo

Shelter = Tipi

Clothing = tunics, leggings, skirts, breechcloths, & moccasins

Social Organization = ?

Government society = the sun dance was a rite of initation

I think I am supposed to use some or one of these terms for the social organization.

Kinship, Matrilocal, patrilocal, patriarchal, Patrilineal, matrilinral, Bilateral. I am not sure which term out of these fit with the people of the plains.

Please add any more information, thanks

Since there were many different tribes of Plains Indians, there were many different types of social organization. This site probably explains it best.
