how do i factor the perfect square trinomial 9x2-12x+4

(3 2 ) (3 2) have to appear if it is a perfect square to get that 9 and 4
it has to be - 2 times -2 to get +4 and -12
so try
(3x-2)(3x-2)
sure enough
