im doing homework abut brackets and i've answered the questions i know like : (x+1)(x+9) = x(squared)+10x+9

but i don't get this one cause of the symbols should the answer have 2 minus ?
(x-6)(x+9)

(x-6)(x+9)
x(squared)+9x-6x-54
x(squared)+3x-54

Online x(squared) is indicated by x^2.
