Apple is the name of a company that makes computers as well as other popular electronic devices such as iPod and iPhone.
Most of their computers are called Macs (short for Macintosh)
The operating systems that most Apple computers use is called OSX, with various versions currently named for animals. I have lost track of their zoo names.
