Why is Pluto not among of the planets

Pluto is no longer considered a planet because in 2006, the International Astronomical Union redefined the criteria for classifying objects as planets. Pluto did not meet these new criteria, as it did not clear its orbit of other debris and was deemed too small to be considered a true planet. Instead, it was reclassified as a "dwarf planet".
