Find the slope of the line through the given points. ( 8, -2) and ( 8, -1)

Since 8-8 is 0 would the slope be 0 or would there be no slope?

The slope is undefined (a vertical line). The equation of the line is x = 8; one cannot describe the line in the form "y=".

*That would be the equation of a vertical line through those two points.

This would be slope equalls rise over run? would it be 1/16?
Answered by drwls
Marth is correct. The slope is infinite or "undefined" for a vertical line, and the equation is x = 8.

"Rise over run" for those two points is 1/0, which is infinite.
