I have been trying for hours to get my terraria data back, last night I got angry so I saved and quit and shut off my computer really fast and I didn't give it enough time to save so now the data is corrupted. I've tried everything, I've tried YouTube tutorials telling me to rename the bak file to a wld file and it still hasn't worked. I recently found a file that was from that world that has data in it but even when I put it in the worlds file it still did not work, I've tried restoring previous versions and I don't see any previous versions. I've looked checked every world file I duplicated in the process and I took the one that has data in it and copied it into the worlds file and yet nothing works. What do I do? I'm about to have a panic attack because I've spent 11+ hours on this world alone and I can't afford to lose the progress

One last thing you could try is to see if you have a backup of your terraria save files on an external hard drive or cloud storage. If you have a backup, you can try replacing the corrupted files with the backup files to see if that restores your progress.
If you don't have a backup, I recommend reaching out to the Terraria community forums or support team for additional help and guidance. They may have more advanced techniques or solutions that you have not tried yet.
I know how frustrating and upsetting it can be to lose progress in a game you have invested a lot of time in. Take a deep breath and try to stay calm. Hopefully, there is a solution out there that can help you recover your data. Good luck!
