how long does it take for a 90 stone block of ice to melt

That depends upon air temperature, solar intensity, wind speed and the thermal diffusivity (conductivity and specific heat) of the surface that is in contact with the ice.

Since 90 stone is over half a ton, it probably takes many days at room temperature. I would estimate a week.
