I read some of the websites posted yesterday for the causes of AIDS decline. Here's what I got:
. better treatment
. 'appearance of drug-resistant infection and the inability of some patients to take the medicines'
. HIV prevention

will someone please help me find more. or give me more helpful sites?

I read in those same sites
medicines more widely available.
many of those previously sick are now dead
publicity and acceptance of the "safe-sex" messages
Condoms being widely available, and being more socially acceptable.
Earlier detection so infected folks don't keep spreading.

Oh yes, in South AFrica, the debunking and understanding of the silliness the previous government did on "treatment" of AIDS cases, and a widespread understanding that information was false. The government has changed, and now legitimate treatment is being expanded to those pregnant, and to babies infected.
