How would i solve:
1/6(12-6x)= 5(x+4)

Expand out the peretheses terms on both sides, and then combine 'like' terms.
(That means to combine all constants into one term, and all terms linear in x into one term.)
2 - x = 5x + 20
6x = -18
Now divide both sides by 6. Then you will have the asnwer.
