What were three contributing factors to the Great Depression?
(3 points)

1 answer

1) Stock market crash in 1929 - The stock market crash in October 1929 was one of the major causes of the Great Depression. It led to a loss of confidence in the economy and a steep decline in consumer spending and investment.

2) Bank failures - The widespread bank failures during the 1930s also contributed to the Great Depression. Many banks were not able to meet the demands of their depositors, leading to a loss of savings and a further contraction of the money supply.

3) Dust Bowl - The Dust Bowl, a period of severe dust storms that damaged the agriculture in the Great Plains region of the United States during the 1930s, also contributed to the Great Depression. The combination of economic hardship and environmental disaster worsened the already dire situation for many Americans.
