how do i determine the number of moles of each ion produced as well as the total number of moles of ions produced when 1 mole of KI dissolves in water?

KI dissociates in water to produce
KI ==> K^+ + I^-
Moles KI = grams KI/molar mass KI.
Since there are two ions per molecule of KI, the total number of moles will be just twice the moles KI. Moles of K^+ and moles I^- will equal moles KI.
