27 = 3*3*3
sqrt 27 = 3 sqrt3

108 = 3*3*3*2*2
sqrt 108 = 6 sqrt3

I don't know if your "a" is inside or outside the radical sign. You should use parentheses to indicate which is is. In any case, the difference between sqrt 108 and sqrt27 is 3 sqrt3. Put the 'a' or 'sqrt a' wherever it belongs, as a factor.

Thanks. That's the answer i had and the a was in the radical. so do the answer come out to be 3(Radical 3a)
