were doing sum and difference identities

tan (225 degrees+60 degrees)

i got to the part where its 1+radical 3/1-radical 3 ..now what?

1 answer

actually that is your answer
(1 + √3)/(1 - √3)

looking at the answer code you probably saw something different and thought you were wrong.
How about rationalizing our denominator ?
(1 + √3)/(1 - √3)
= (1 + √3)/(1 - √3)*(1+√3)/(1+√3)
= (1+√3)^2 /(1-3)
= -(1+√3)^2/2
