Question
The problem is:
(8.86 + 1.0 X 10^-3) / 3.610 X 10^-3
Well I got 2.73 X 10^-3 as an answer, but I know for a fact that this is wrong because my teacher said it was.
Your teacher is right.
What do you get when you add
8.86 + 1.0 X 10^-3 = 8.86 + .001 ?
What do you get when you divide that sum by 3.610 X 10^-3 = .003610 ?
(I didn't get your answer.)
(8.86 + 1.0 * 10^-3)/3.610 *10^-3
=8.861/0.00361
=2454.570637
=2454.57
