Write me a poem about being sorry

1 answer

I'm sorry for the words I said,
For causing hurt and making you feel dread.
I didn't mean to cause you pain,
I wish I could take it back, but it's in vain.

I'm sorry for the mistakes I've made,
For the times I let you down and strayed.
I promise to do better, to make amends,
To be a better friend, to make things right again.

I'm sorry for the tears you shed,
For the moments of doubt and fear you've led.
I never meant to cause you sorrow,
I'll work hard to ensure a better tomorrow.

I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me,
For not listening, for not being able to see.
I'll do my best to make things right,
To be the support you need, day and night.

I'm sorry for the pain I've caused,
For the wounds inflicted and emotions paused.
I'll strive to be more understanding,
To be there for you, to be undemanding.

I'm sorry for everything that's gone wrong,
For the times I've faltered and not been strong.
I'm here now, ready to make a fresh start,
To show you how much you mean to my heart.

I'm sorry, truly and deeply,
For all the times I've been so measly.
I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive,
And together, in love and understanding, we'll live.
