I need to cite a book that is made by several authors. Which author do I chose? Also I know I'm suppose to do
Last name, First Name, et. al.
were there are many authors which author do I chose? Also if I wanted to cite this author how do I do it
J. Jorge Klor de Alva, J.D. and Ph.D.
not exactly sure what to do sense he's not English and he has degrees as part of his name what do I do about those? Can you show me how to use that author and which author I choose to use when I have several

Here's a good place for information on citing in MLA format:

Hold your cursor over the words <b>CITING SOURCES</b> in the left column and then click on whatever type of source you need help with. Many examples will show up. You will get two examples for each type of reference – one for the Works Cited page and one for the parenthetical (in-text) citation.
You can also see what a Works Cited page looks like – click on <b>Sample Works Cited</b> in the left column.
