How do you measure volume and mass?

How? Volume with a pipet, graduated cylinder, or by weighing.
Mass is measured with a balance.

Be careful with your answers as there is a difference between determining mass or volume and measuring them.
For example you can measure volume with say a graduated cylinder, but if you use the mass of the material (by weighing) then you are DETERMINING the volume as you need to do a calculation using the density.
The two are also quite different as volume is a derived unit (metres x metres x metres) whereas mass is a base (or fundamental) unit.
