Kevin makes $5.25 per hour he worked 18.25 hours. What is the best estimate of the amount of money he made?

Do you just divide the 2 numbers?

First of all you would multiply, not divide, the two numbers

wages is appr. $5 x 18 hours = appr. $90

(real answer: 5.25 x 18.25 = $95.81)

No. You need to multiply. If he worked 20 hours at $5.00 an hour he'd make almost

20 * 5 = 100
