Hi there! I can help you with that. Condensation is actually the process by which water vapor cools and changes into liquid water. It is the opposite of evaporation, where liquid water changes into water vapor.

When warm air containing water vapor cools down, the water molecules slow down and come closer together, resulting in condensation. This process usually occurs when warm, moist air comes into contact with a colder surface, such as a window or a cold drink.

To remember the process of condensation, think of a cold glass of water on a hot day. As the glass is colder than the surrounding air, the water vapor in the warm air contacts the glass and cools down, forming droplets on the outside of the glass. This is condensation.

So, to answer your question, condensation occurs when water vapor transforms into liquid water due to cooling. It's not specifically about ice melting into water, that would be a separate process called melting.
