That's a very broad question, considering all of the different media. Here's the definition from Dictionary.com.
"2. (usually used with a plural verb) the means of communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and magazines, that reach or influence people widely "
What has your experience been about the media and sexual relationships?

To begin with, TV has many programs which depict promiscuous (random partner) sexual behavior without indicating any use of protection against STDs or unwanted pregnancies. The attitude indicated is "go for the moment" without being concerned about possible long-term effects.
That is just a beginning.
