range: difference between the highest and lowest value of a data set
mean: average of the #'s in a data set
mode: # that occurs most often in a data set (the one that repeats the most)
median: the middle value of a set of data that is ordered from lowest to highest. (numbers- ex. 123 median is 2) but if the number of data is odd- (ex 1234 the median is an average of the 2 middle #'s (2+3)/2= 2.5
