I have an older version of PowerPoint.
Here's how you could add sound to the slides.
1. open power point, and display the slide to which sound is to be added.
2. From the menu, open the SlideShow/CustomAnimation dialog box.
3. In the box "check to animate slide objects", choose the object (title, text, etc.) to be animated. You can only put sound to accompany an animation.
4. In the bottom box, choose the order and timing, or simply timing (depends on the version of PowerPoint). Choose the object to be animated.
5. under effects, choose the animation and sound.
6. Under preview, test the animation and sound. Make sure your speakers are on.
7. If everything is satisfactory, click the OK button to do other slides.
There may be variations due to version differences.
