name a parliamentary victory of 1644
on july 2nd 1644 when the royalist forces were busy cooking their suppers, the roundheads made a surprise attack , scattered the royalist forces and won the vital battle of marston moor.

1644 was a year of the first civil swar, not the second.

Marston Moor was one of the victories of the parliamentary forces in that year. There were others as well.
