A ramp has a rise of 8 and a run of 10, what's the slope? I'm not sure how to solve it.
The other question is to find the slope of the line that passes through 17/2, 8) and (5/2,-1)
I did -1 - 8 is 7 and 5/2 - 17/2 as -12/2 so 7/ -12/2 is 7/-6

The slope is rise divided by run, by definition. "Solve" it by performing the division of 8 by 10.
In your second question, -1 - 8 is not 7
