Woodworking is a wonderful hobby for children and young adults to pursue as an after-school activity. One of the advantages of woodworking is that it allows people to create items than can last for a very long time. However, this hobby does call for parental supervision.
Fourteen-year-old Steve Gomez has been working on woodworking projects since he was ten years old, and he is now junior president of the local Woodworking Association. Steve has created many beautiful pieces out of wood, and the local craft center has exhibited some of them. In fact, many of his pieces have also been sold for charity. Woodworking has helped Steve believe in himself. He is a good example of teenagers getting involved in a constructive and lucrative hobby. Some of his friends have also taken up this craft as a hobby after observing its positive effect on Gomez.
