In parts of Africa beginning in the 1960s:
A)most efficent farming methods have helped reduced the effects of drought.
B)severe droughts turned farmland into wasteland
C)mild droughts had small impact on agriculture
D)there was a two year period of drought followed by heavy rain.

I don't know what your text says -- but I don't know of many places in Africa where D would be true. This site emphasizes the decline in the continent's agriculture, thus making B. the best answer.
