The Jiskha volunteers have no idea what Michael's situation is.
case study: how might michael's situation illustrate adjument? how might this situation become an opportunity for personal growth?
could this be correct? michael's situation illustrating adjustment could be that he faces his situations face on and know that if he put his mind together he could find another job if he get laid off, and he could still provide for his children and himself.

I'm sure that you have much more data about Michael than you have posted. Any good psychologist/teacher would not attempt to answer your question with the limited information you have given.
