At this time, I would have supported the Democratic Republicans. The Democratic Republicans, led by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, believed in limiting the powers of the federal government and advocating for states' rights. They also sought to promote an agrarian economy and favored a strict interpretation of the Constitution. I would have supported their emphasis on individual liberties and their opposition to a strong centralized government, as I believe in the importance of protecting personal freedoms and empowering states to make their own decisions.
