As a reduced fraction what is the difference between the value of the mean and the value of the median in the data set below:
8, 11, 3, 5, 9, 7, 12, 13, 5?
does this mean to find the mean and the median and subtract?
because if it does then the answer I got is :
3,5,5,7,8,9,11,12,13
= 73 and 73 is divided by 9 which makes it 8.1 and as a fraction I got
8 1/10
8 1/10 - 8= 1/10
